Minivan interior by Northeast Detailing!

Excellent job! :props:

I enjoyed seeing an interior for a change. Most people seem to spend a great deal of time worrying about this polish or that polish and we don't get a chance to see interior work done to this level.

Thanks! Yeah, those were my thoughts exactly. We see mostly exteriors on the forum. Why not an interior! I think that's mainly because most people hate doing interiors, ha. I don't blame them...but at the same time, I also don't understand it. I enjoy the finished product on both ends. :dblthumb2:

Great turnaround Kristopher....:dblthumb2:

Thanks buddy :dblthumb2:

I guess there is just something that a sports car with freshly corrected paint does that the interior of a minivan doesn't do. I just don't see many Porsche interiors that are sick nasty, where as minivans would probably top the list of nasty interiors. I am sure kids have something to do with that and you can only fit so many kids in a Porsche.

Nice job on the van though. Makes me realize how bad I need an extractor.

I do things a little different with the same chems and Mytee Lite ... i do a thorough vac while the pump heats up the water in the extractor. I then douse the area with the hot watter topped with APC then scrub then SHOP VAC extract to pull out all the gunk, then extract. The last step in my opinion is more of a hot water rinse than anything as grime is usually lifted and broken down by the agitation and final extraction is to ensure it finishes clean ... my two cents

Well, I also do a thorough vac before any of those steps. I just figured that goes without saying. I would never extract without using the vac first. No need for the extractor to pick up all that crap. :xyxthumbs:

Very nice job. I like seeing interior turn a rounds. They are always dramatic.

I do not have an extractor, but I do have a Bissell Little Green Pro Heat. Works good for me.

Well, I don't do nearly the business as you guys. I get a car or two a month. I just do this stuff more for fun then the money. The little green has worked good so far. If I was doing work like you, I doubt it would hold up. Great for the hobbyist IMO.

yeah I agree. No point in really having an extractor if it's more of a hobby. Steam cleaner will certainly do the trick. :xyxthumbs:

That was an incredible turnaround!!!! Someone needs to design a smell o vision system to help increase our odor awareness... sounds like a job for... YANCY!!!!

Maybe I missed it in here, what kind of APC did you use on the carpet?

I use some stuff from Malco called Red Thunder. Works pretty well on most things. Although, there was some spots where I used a degreaser from Malco as well. It doesn't really have a name though.

Thanks a lot!!:xyxthumbs:

Thanks man! Smell o vision? I want it...and I want it now. lol :dblthumb2:

I know its weird - but remember the Seinfeld episode with the interior of his car having a ridiculous smell?!?!?!? Always wanted to know what that smelled like lol! Could it have been corrected?!?! :dunno:

You kidding me. I remember EVERY seinfeld episode, ha. I've seen them all 20 times at least. I love that one. Especially when Elaine can't get the smell off of her and that guy won't do her anymore because of it, haha. :xyxthumbs:

Yep - awesome episode! Think I would pass on this job if it the smell stuck to me and transferred to other vehicles lol!

And for $100 you can't go wrong! LOL. Plus it is easy to justify to your better half. You can use it on the furniture.

No! Do NOT want! Smelling some of these interiors would make me sick. Although it would be great for air freshener. I could finally smell CG's Stripper Scent.

Nice!!!!

Where did you buy the magic sponges from?
I think they are just using Mr Clean Magic Erasers, available anywhere. I could be wrong though, but that is what they look like to me.

Nice!!!!

I don't buy the Mr. Clean ones, cause they're way too expensive for what I do with them. If you go on ebay, and type in magic sponges. You'll get a TON of different auctions popping up. I usually just buy the best deal that is there. I buy like 200-500 at a time.

Sometimes you can get really good deals on the ones that were defects. They still work fine, they just aren't the "perfect" size they wanted. :dblthumb2:

I don't pass on many jobs, ha. But, there was one time where somebody had blood in their vehicle. Quite a bit of it too...that, I won't do. I do not want blood in my extractor. Sorry! lol :nomore:
