Guys and gals, I'm no longer a member of the VTEC club. The weekend before last I drove by my local Subaru dealer and this mysterious force steered me into the parking lot. As I gravitated towards a bright red WRX, a salesman approached and asked me if I wanted to take it for a spin. You can guess what happened next.

It was tough saying goodbye to the Civic, but that feeling quickly fades away as the turbo in the WRX spools up and pushes me into the seat. :dblthumb2:

Last weekend I gave it a complete detail. I polished it with HD Polish (it didn't have any swirls, surprisingly) and coated it with a combination of Optimum Gloss Coat and various prototype coatings.

I wish they still made the WRX Hatchback. That red is really poppin, Congrats Nick!

Getting the Subie over the Civic is a no brainer!! I had a 2009 previous gen Civic Si. Granted it was a great little coupe. However, a WRX is a different beast! Love the turbo Flat 4 AWD beast!

Beautiful car and love the red!! Great choice, great car, great detail!

PS: the 6-Speed Manual is awesome

Looks good. I don't think I've ever seen one from the current generation in red.

Very nice Nick. Welcome to the club. Thanks again for your help with my last order.

Hey Nick,

You've got to be so stoked. Congratulations! Love the car, but from the looks of the front end, two words, Bug Remover. Enjoy, I'm in the 8th month of my new ride and the giddiness still hasn't worn off. Look forward to your posts on being a new papa. Take care.

Peace,

Darrin

I have a 2015 Galaxy Blue and the feeling of driving it is pure joy. Just remember to go easy on it for the first 1000 miles.

Congratulations on your upgrade, Nick!!!

That is one sweet looking car! That red is poppin'! The best color IMO.

I'm sure BOOST will make you forget about the Civic very quick. You'll love it even more once we get to the heart of winter. :)

Enjoy it to good health buddy. You deserve it.

Very nice! Your a full on Subaru family now!!

Nick, is the orange peel on your car really bad? Our 2015 Galaxy Blue WRX is some of the worst factory orange peel I have seen, and the paint is REALLY soft. It scratches if you look at it sideways. For as much as we love the car, the factory paint is worse than I would have hoped.

Those wheels are a PITA to clean, but they do make great winter wheels if you live somewhere without palm trees. ;) The stock Dunlops are horrible, so there is a good excuse built in why you need 18s on the car.

Wonderful car, fun to drive, fantastic on road trips, too. We love ours. Congrats on the new Rex!

She's a beaut Clark.................................
