Wow, what a difference, great job! Great advice on keeping on your toes too.

I was scared of all the controls and stuff. Cause amazingly...everything worked.
Any idea how much the guy was planning on selling it for?
Wow! How did I miss this? That was just frickin awesome!
He didn't give me a number. But I did discuss it with him for a little bit. It seems to me like he's hung up on either keeping it, or selling it. I guess if you threw a number at him...he would most likely consider it. :xyxthumbs:
Just curious. I grew up in the 80's and I remember the Daytona being Dodge's sports car (Along with the Chrysler Laser). It actually had a decent amount of horsepower for its day (turbocharged 4, 146 hp). I think it became famous as DeeDee McCall's car in the show Hunter. Anyone remember that?:xyxthumbs:
At $2k, I doubt anyone will bite, but you never know. I'm sure there's somebody out there who needs a semi-restored Dodge Daytona to finish their collection of cool 80's sports cars!
Great job Kris! Good idea on that shifter knob. It's better to stop and admit defeat before you make it look worse. Besides it shouldn't be too hard to find an aftermarket replacement shifter even for a Dodge Daytona.
