One of the reasons why detailing is so much fun to me is because of my arsenal lol. I have a variety of waxes and id like to name a few that would potentially become a candidate to be sandwiched in the middle of these cg products. Collinite 915..Souveran liquid...Souveran paste....dp maxwax...Menz color lock... Not sure which wax to use, i would like some opinions. Thank you guys

You plan on throwing down a BL base with a V7 topper. I'd keep the sandwich in the family and put 50/50 in the middle.

I have 'sandwhiched' Collinite #845 between BL and V7 quite often, both on dark and light colored vehicles and love the combo.

Just my 2c

:iagree: thats my combo when i use BL and v7

That really boils down to another question really. Is it possible to complete this job with a wax from a different brand? I have no wax from cg lol maybe if I had the black wax it would be interesting but I have too many waxes :( lol

Only problem i had using a non cg wax on top of BL was durability. But if your desiring a shiny wet look, BL+wax, really works. :xyxthumbs:

well what waxes do you have?
some will disagree but, I don't know why people waste their time applying v7 over a freshly waxed vehicle, apply v7 next time you wash it, if your wax is any good v7 isn't going to add anything, v7 is best in class but beats no high quality nubas, all imo, ime.

Qusai - What kind of vehicle are you going to be working on?

I tend to agree wuth your line of thought.

I named 5 different waxes and what sonic said was interesting

I agree - I don't see the point of waxing if you're just going to change the look and water-interaction properties immediately after with an application of v7 - and since v7 adds some protection by itself, if you just want added durability, just use it after every wash.

So Blacklight is the product from the two that really makes a difference in looks?

Of ALL the products out there, blacklight is the one I really don't see the hype. First I don't understand what it is/does. Second everyone is always topping with an expensive carnauba and v7. So I think the results are from those products. Just my opinion.

I was a skeptic of blacklight but decided to give it a try. i used it after correcting the paint and i noticed a difference right away. It made the metal flakes in the paint pop out more and gave it a very glossy look. CG calls the product a gloss enhancer, and it does just that on a properly prepped surface.

From what I understand no one really knows what Blacklight is not even CG but whatever it is it does an outstanding job or protection and enhancement of the paint.
