Rinseless Washes - 2022

Interesting new add to the RW market:

PRELUDIO ACIDIC - #LABOCOSMETICA - EN - NEW

Holy cow, Preludio is here??

Most of us use the solution as a pre- Wash

Maybe you missed it, but when Idrosave was introduced, Reggy from Labo was on a podcast, I think it was EC Details, and he stated that Idrosave was supposed to be part of a 3pH rinseless system, but the other two components were taking too long, so they decided to release the Idrosave by itself. He did say then or elsewhere that the pre-wash part was called Preludio, and that there would be an acidic and an alkaline version.

EDIT: It looks like the alkaline is out also, although these don't seem to actually be available yet: PRELUDIO ALKALINE - #LABOCOSMETICA - EN - NEW

Oh, and just to more fully explain, these would be like using Touchless or something like that, but not having to rinse off after, if you drill down in those above links, to the "how to use" part, it says to spray on, let dwell, then proceed with your rinseless or waterless wash. We'll have to see if the acidic and alkaline are supposed to be used sequentially, or separately.

PS It looks like the Labo USA site is getting ready for this, because they are adding some wording about Preludio to the Idrosave page, it shows up in a google search but not on the actual page.

I had a very good user experience just using Idrosave

So with the acidic and alkaline pieces aside, I'm just picturing the Adam's foam and rinseless multistep process here. The big complaint there was it was a mess (naturally given it was a pre-foam before rinseless).

A 3-step rinseless seems to be over-engineering things here. It'll be interesting to get some actual reviews since Idrosave has good/bad after so much hype died down.

A quick read thru the blurb seemed to be more like a 2-step, they didn't seem to be saying use both the acid and alkaline, it seemed like one or the other depending on what you were trying to remove.

Just to play devil's advocate--is the 3pH conventional over-engineering?

The true devil's advocate here is... isn't everything most of us do over-engineering?!

I won't judge anything until I use it and I've yet to use the other 3pH. I have it all sitting there waiting to be used just haven't yet. I think I haven't used it yet because it feels like a lot in a normal wash routine for how dirty (or not dirty) my vehicles typically are. BH Touchless or Auto Foam usually covers me as a pre-wash.

I'm not against a 2-step (or even 3-step I suppose) rinseless by any means... I'm sure I'll find the right time, place, mindset for it someday.

This is Acidic. Will eat away at waterspots and other organic material. I’m thinking for winter and Fall cleanings

This would be like a rinseless version of a 3Ph decon wash. Thinking probably use 1-3 times a year.

It will be interesting to see how Reggy suggests the use of the Preludios. I don't see any indication that this is going to be available in the US/North America anytime soon, other than that the Labo USA website did add "Idrosave is compatible with Preludio in both its alkaline and acidic versions." to the "alternative use" section of the Idrosave page.

I'm interested in this high pH RW, is it a foam though

I guess that remains to be seen, they have multiple dilution ratios listed. I gotta think not too much foam if you're not supposed to have to rinse it off. Funny how little fanfare there is about this compared to Idrosave, but maybe they save the fanfare for the US market, where this isn't available yet. FWIW they show it diluted into a trigger spray bottle.

I’m guessimg since Idrosave was developed for and released 1st in US market well get when released.

I’m guessing not being rinseless and not waterless.

I would personally like it better if foamed.

A few random gallons of ADS Hero showed up today for sale on the ADS website. I was hoping to avoid another gallon but it sounds like it could be weeks again so I jumped on it. Excited to test it for myself soon.

Anyone on here been able to test it yet? Naturally all the YT reviewers have deemed it the best thing since sliced bread.
