VW Polo - It's a Swirl monster! And it ate my pads! (Pics Heavy)

I'll follow your suggestion and try crimson with both UP and UC on my red VW to check what's going on.....
Also, probably next weekend, I have another Fiat Punto, but black, booked and we'll be able to tell about the hard or soft paint matter...

As a side note, I'll create a topic about it..... but everybody using Ultimate Polish should wash or use pre-wax cleaner before LSP... I didn't and after only a month collinite's #885 beading already dropped a lot. I can't tell about Ultimate Compound on this issue just yet.

Oh boy.... so I need to get some regular flat low profile pads........ Meghan, bogo ? LoL...
Before you buy regular flat pads, keep experimenting with the HT pads, your results may vary. I'm just speaking from my experience, that I've had much better luck with HT pads on hard paint rather than soft.

As far as the UP, you're exactly right. UP has *a lot* of polishing oils which would definitely effect the durability of any LSP. UC doesn't have nearly as much.

It looks like that water beads are floating!!! Thats awesome!!!! Beautiful work!

Thank you :dblthumb2:

Well.... if your experience was that I'm pretty sure mine wouldn't be that different.... and as I live in Brazil, anything I buy at AG takes loooong to get here (because I don't use the UPS service they offer). So I'd rather buy and have some spare pads in case I don't need it, than waiting 30-45 days in case I need them.
Thank you so much to share this valuable tip. :dblthumb2: :dblthumb2:

I really searched the net about UP on this matter but couldn't find any very positive recomendation on whatever do before waxing.... but as I found out it's absolutely necessary to wash it off the paint before LSP. And it's great to know I'm not alone on this thought.
