What Detailing Products Have You "Settled" On??

I should add, for silver cars, I have settled on:

Jeff's Werkstat AJT

I have not seen anything better on silver.

Theres certain products I feel I must always have available, but still like to experiment.

P21S Wheel Cleaner
Amazing Rolloff
Pinnacle Souveran Paste
3M Wax / Adhesive Remover
Stoners Invisible Glass
Fk425
Optimum No Rinse
Einszett Cockpit Premium

I do not know much about this stuff, but I have use a bottle of
Stoner, it is so bad that I will never use again. There was not one time that my windows did not streak. Almost anything is better. I just cannot under how anyone can say anything good about it. I also spent $69 on Pinnacle. It is OK, but not any better than $33.00 P21s.

I guess that this is not an exact science and that anyone opinion is as good as the next guys.

ONR
Can't buy my favorite tampico bristled spoke brush anymore
Can't buy my favorite tampico bristled wheel brush anymore
Red 5 gallon bucket with grit guard

Everything else is in flux.
* I'm partial to OCW and OID. OID works well with OCW and WG DGPS3.0

optimum no rinse
dp tire gel
dp interior clean and dp interior protectant
Wolfgang paint sealant
pinnacle sovereign, i have the liquid right now, when it runs out, i will be getting the paste
pinnacle crystal mist
dp glass cleaner
megs apc
megs 105 and 205

i haven't found a good leather cond. i like yet. i like pinn, but i haven't use it enough yet to say i have to have it.

i have a black Nissan altima, and i take care of 2 mustangs, 1 silver and one grey and i help my son with his black mustang.

For my Honda CR-V, I am committed to Ultima Paint Guard Plus. The two decisive reasons are these:

1) The CR-V is a big car. I have to get on a step ladder to polish and wax the roof. Hence I'm for anything that simplifies the job and reduces work time. UPGP is the easiest protectant I have come across to apply. Wipe on and walk away! I understand that Optimum Opti-Seal is just as good, but I probably will never get around to trying it, given that a small bottle of UPGP lasts a long time.

2) I can apply UPGP to paint, trim, and cladding. One product seals the entire car.

And by the way, the car looks great and two coats of UPGP lasts a good while. I don't need another protectant for the CR-V. I'm toying around with the idea of trying 1000p as this year's winter protectant, but that's only because I have a tin of the stuff. UPGP just makes my life easier!

Some stuff varies, I do lean slightly towards Meguiar's products, hpwever/

NXT 2.0 wax (works well, and hold up for a long time)
Leatherique for the interior in the TC..

After I wash and clay bar, I always, always apply Liquid Glass to the paint, before waxing. It's easy to apply if you follow the directions, and it has never let me down.

I was disappointed with SIG too.

My list:

Wash: ONR or DPRinseless
Glass : No Streak (applies like a wax)
Interior/Dash: Meguiars M40
AIO : PB's PwS
Polishes: UC/SwirlX (honestly haven't tried 105/205)
QD: Lucas Slick Mist // Megs UQD
Spray Wax: Pinnacle Spray Wax
Winter Wax: IW845
Wheel Cleaner: Eagle One
Exterior Trim: Stoner's More Shine/Less Time

That said, I like to experiment with new products

Im pretty much in the try everything I can stage! Fun but rough on the wallet!

This is impossible for me to do. Even though I thoroughly enjoy and use specific products with regularity (Such as Z2, Z6, Z7 and Z8) I find myself trying other sealants, QD's, car wash soaps and 'booster' products (in this example).

Being continually on the hunt for something MORE impressive certainly has an impact on my pocket book, but I'd hate to let some product pass by that I find to be better than my current "favorite" and never even know it.

Sometimes I find being content with what I have makes detailing become boring (hence why I sometimes take long hiatus' from the forums) in conjunction with the fact the forums seem to get me to spend more money when people talk about products with specific properties I look for in a product and then of course find a way to buy way too much of it. (eg, gallons of car wash soap)
Well said except I cant stay off the damn forum, so here is my list of near perfect products:
ONR - Is there anything it wont do?
Daytona Speed Brush
Dirt Dropper - its a grit guard with a washboard
Pail Pal detail cart - a must for the over 50 crowd
MF gloves - a must to seal wheels
All else I experiment with and have favorites but nothing Im married to.

I'm really interested in this stuff. I think I'm going to go with the original AJ. I like applying sealants with a PC. Does AJ-T give a better look, or is it the same formula, just in a spray?

It's the same formula, just in a spray. You should be good with the original if you want to apply by PC.

Be sure to post your thoughts once you've given it a try. I love this stuff on Silver!

No sir, not for me.

And I used Zaino on my Silver 93 Twin Turbo RX-7.

Meh, for me nothing beats Z2 on silver that I've found yet. I've not tried AJT, but I don't see anything 'special' in your pics above.

Yep, Zaino is great on Silver... if you like the saran wrap look! :props:

Seems as if I always head back to zaino's z5 and z8 comb along with it's AIO :props: though i wouldnt hesitate using fk425 but i'm still looking for the equivalent of the z8 .... any suggestions ??

Tire shine is something i'll probably never stop trying new products .... still searching for that " perfect " shine product !??!

My quest continues on that front as well.

I just tried Optimum's Opti-Bond and I do not care for the looks at all.
