What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Applied Meguiar's Hyper Dressing on all the FJs black trim. I really like how easy it applies, and how even it looks when done. I even removed the hood vents so I could really spray them easily. I did not realise that they are all different sizes till I put them next to each other.

While I had it in the garage, and it was out of the sun, I cleaned the glass inside and out using Krystal Klear Bubblegum Blitz and my Carpro Glass Mitt.

Nice work!

The best word to describe Hyper Dressing is "smooth". It just wipes on so easily, without the need for excessive buffing.

Glad you liked it!

After the morning forecasted rain passed, hit the truck with a Maintenace wash. Finished with TWHSFW as a rinse wax. Any time it's 53 out in December in PA, that is a bonus wash!

Organized my towels into an new extra bin. Waterless washed the hood of the Maverick. Did the baggy test. Hung head with amount of claying in my future.

I think the FJ needs the same, I've been back working a year now and parking in the open near industry all day long is really messing with the hood. I had a close look yesterday and gave some serious consideration to claying and polishing just the hood.

I was surprised that there was t much for IronX to munch on when I did the decon wash. It sat at the Hermosillo plant for about 50 days and then was on trains for a couple of weeks. Guess what it picked up in it’s travels was non iron contamination.

Cleaned up my c7 and installed some fresh seat covers.

Still have to fit them a bit better. Maybe some heat will be required. passenger seat is really loose across the front

Current seats have 125,000 miles so it was time for some fresh leather

Took my g/f's Cruze to the touch-free wash tonight, it was 24 degrees. To ensure a complete and CLEAN was I took the trusty IK Foam Pro 12 w/a gallon of distilled and Bilt-Hamber Touchless. I know it's below freezing but I'll say the soap ended up freezing onto the car making some interesting patterns, too bad I couldn't take any pics

Car came out great, the EN goes through tomorrow but I'll be trying the new Incredible Suds from DIY Detail. Now the EN was washed Friday after work and isn't dirty so this product and its pH of 7 isn't going to be challenged but I wanna see what 2 oz does because they admitted the label is wrong and you need ALOT less product, stay "tuned"

So the EN was days dirty/dusty/sprinkled on, time for us to get it cleaned up. My daughter and I headed to the wash with my trusty IK Foam Pro 12 and this time Bilt-Hamber was NOT the pre-wash of choice

I decided to try the very new DIY Detail Incredible Suds as the pre-wash. I asked about its pH level and was told by them it's a 7, so I set my expectations and got after it. Now I did see a video where they said they've got the ratio wrong on the back of the bottle, they want you to use LESS, pretty honest of them and it's true!

Originally I was going to use 1 oz but decided on 2 ounces and I must say I would've been ok with 1 oz because with 2 ounces and a gallon of water in my IK Foam Pro 12 this stuff produced THICK suds, so the name makes sense

For test purposes I didn't clean the windows with the squeegee at the pump and it did leave that light film around the wipers that ALL touch-free washes do and also this product has the previously mentioned 7 pH number.

As for the rest of the car it came out great and I'm looking forward to trying it out in the 2BM come spring. This soap is THICK, reminds me of TAC system Cosmic Bubble, smells great too

Now it's time for England and Senegal, should be a good one!

So after watching Guz's latest video I decided to get out and try the same product he was reviewing, DIY Detail Ceramic Interior Coating. Now my seats are protected with Colourlock Alcantara protectant and Gyeon Leather Shield, same for the other similar bits. The door panels, dash and other bits have 303 protectant and various interior detailers for maintence, so this product is perfect for a boost and surely can be used as a stand alone product. I'm pleased to announce this product was easy to use and basically leveled itself out (except the gloss black bits which easily buffed out)

While I was out there I used my recently acquired IK sprayer that has N914 as a WW to clean the tires and wheel faces/spokes, dressed the tires w/303 Tire Balm and wiped down the exterior w/ DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss to finish it off, I mean it had some water on it still so why not make it perfect. Even in 32 degree weather the Ceramic Gloss didn't streak one bit, really impressed with these products so far

Wait….. you used a QD….. to…… remove……. That…… much………dust?!? . Somebody pull this guys geek card!

Jk…..i would think a QD has more lubricant to remove the dust…. In fact I use to QD dirty cars before someone showed me what a car looked like once you polished swirls away…..

I used to use Meguiars Last Touch to waterless wash my own car when it was straight dirty without any issues or swirls, it’s that good. You just have to make sure to spray liberally and have good technique. Last Touch is an extremely capable product.

Besides the scent, I find Last Touch and Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash Concentrate @3oz. per gallon to work and feel nearly identical, with LT doing slightly better but WG edging it out due to price.

Finished coating another Dodge this weekend that was pretty trashed. Two step paint correction using my Boss G15 w/Griots Fast Correcting Microfiber Pads + 3D One, followed by my Flex 3401 w/LC White Force Pads also with 3D One. Coated with Artdeshine Nano Graphene Coating.

Ahhhh, the Ford guy vs. Chevy guy vs. Mopar guy thing! Growing up in the D this was apart of everyone's DNA. Not sure about AMC though but Chevy guys would splinter into B-O-P strains, I know I had a few of them
