Had a service manager tell me that tow being multiple degrees out of spec wouldn’t impact how my car drove and that using another shops alignment system didn’t mean anything since they “all read different” among other things. Needless to say I emailed the dealer GM, and brand corporate love the nonsense dealers say to pad their bottom lineLOL, that sounds more like a protection racket than vehicle service. "Yeah, that's a real nice car youse got dere; be a real shame if somethin' were to happen like you couldn't notice but might result in *unusual* damage . . . you know what I mean? Real shame, it would be."

Picked up a few kcx products today. Rrw which I love. Top star which I’ve never tried but wanted to, and fresh up because my gli is starting to smell. Think it’s time for some pol star in the carpets and a quick hit with the extractor followed up with fresh up.
Think I need to hit the brakes on buying supplies for a while and run through what I have. I can’t think of a single use case I don’t have product for except maybe engine bay dressing which I just don’t care about.

Just be thankful you aren't presented with the $47.99 pricing that the Australian Megs distributor asks for HCD. A quick sweep of Google shows two large auto retailers selling it for $52.99 and $54.00, while another has it on sale for $37.09. I often hear from people who don't even consider this product simply because of the price. And the main target audience shopping at those retailers looks past it for cheaper Megs products. It's such a shame because HCD is brilliant, super easy to apply, lovely slickness, warm glossy appearance and excellent hydrophobics.

Put it this way, I can price out a litre of ADS Amplify at half the price of HCD in the same quantity. I like them both, but guess which I use more often.

HCD has a warmer gloss and slightly slicker. Amplify is has a brighter, more sterile gloss, but is slightly easier to apply. Keep in mind I'm talking minute differences between two winning products. As a reference point, neither will approach Bead Maker for that ultra glossy and slick finish.

RRW and Idrosave are my two faves right now and Mckee’s close. In reality all the “v2” rinseless as I call them seem to be great.

Got to work today on some of the worst of the very expensive custom optional dealer installed scratches
Rinseless wash of the door with N-914 followed by Autofiber Holey Clay Towel lubed with N-914
Now I know know the entire truck needs a full decon, dirtiest most contaminated new vehicle I have run into in a while
I used my Shinemate EB210 with a well used 2" orange pad and Griots Perfecting Cream, speed 4, light pressure, 3 medium speed row passes
Rinseless wash of the door with N-914 followed by Autofiber Holey Clay Towel lubed with N-914

We've got maybe a week of rainy days predicted after tomorrow, and seeing how good Meg's HCD was with hydrophobicity, I wanted/needed to finish off the rest of the FJ. Did everything but the wheels and the windshield. I even weighed the bottle before, so after doing all the paint, including doorjambs, and the black trim, bullbar, rear and side glass, I used 42 grams, although I didn't weigh the MF before and after, so there may still be a few grams in that. Finished off with some Einzett Scheiben-Klar for the front glass.

So this morning I decided to do a full tire & wheel cleaning, as well as touch-less wash, the products are as follows:

-Griot's Garage Wheel Cleaner
-ADS Clean @10:1 ratio (tires)
-All brushes

-Griot's Garage Ceramic Wash and Coat
-DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss
Since the EN was last washed Friday, touch-free wash and sat since then, it wasn't too dirty, so a touch-less was all that was needed. I started with the tires and wheels, rinsed and moved to the body. I hadn't used Griot's Garage Ceramic Wash & Coat for quite some time and works great in THIS application! To double the protection, I used DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss and it came out great (yes, we all know about him but I've gotta use up the products and it's actually a great user experience if I'm being honest
)
I'll add something to the tires here soon, ADS Tire+

I mean, pretty much every brand has a mixture of brilliant and not-so-brilliant products. I've tried some truly terrible products from the likes of Carpro and Gyeon, balanced by some brilliant class leaders elsewhere in the range. The sad thing about Meguiar's is that they should be an industry leader and innovator, but are stuck in 1999 selling old products to those not willing to try anything different.
Of the Meguiar's products, I'd say Hybrid Ceramic Detailer, Hyper Wash, Hyper Dressing and the Quick Interior Detailer (the retail version only, the Detailer gallon size has an unpleasant white vinegar odor) are their leaders. All have earnt a place in my cabinets.
