What did you do today non-detailing related?

Today I did my annual rust prevention on my Tacoma. Have done it every year since brand new as it lives outdoors 365 a year and they use corrosive agents on the roads here.

I use Fluid Film which is a rust preventative and a lubricant. First thing I do is crank down the spare and get everything above and around that including top of the spare. Then crank it back up pretty much everything metal gets sprayed except the brakes. I do it over the grass as it creates a fine mist which goes everywhere. So afterwards I used and APC on the engine as it mists all over that which the dirt tends to stick to. I wear old clothes and a respirator to spray the fluid film. It stinks pretty good for a few days afterwards when driving the truck.
Tomorrow will do a presoak and then a contact wash with shampoo. The Fluid Film gets on some of the lower portions of the paint and the bumpers.

Well not today but both Friday and Saturday I spent the entire day in the woods archery hunting for deer. Am going out tomorrow as well before daybreak and wiil be in my treestand 1/2 hour before it gets light. I've been a hunter all my life and enjoy it. Especially the Archery hunting as it is usually nicer weather, mostly have the woods to yourself and there isn't any trigger happy gun hunters out there.
Been seeing a lot of deer each day both Does and Bucks as the rut is in full force right now. I let everything pass so far as I'm looking for that trophy Buck or at least a nice sized one.
Anybody else here doing the same?

Finally, after more than 20 years, we are completely done with paying for a storage unit or two

Got the last load of his crap hauled to my oldest sons new unit, swept the floor, and said adios

That’s $269 a month that’s not coming out of my pocket

Wow. Must not be very humid where you at in the NW. I grew up without AC but can't imagine not having it today. One year our AC unit was broken for the whole season. It was unbearable trying to sleep upstairs. My AC gets turned on in May and Is never shut off till mid October.

Just out of curiosity what efficiency is the furnace? Since you were adding the A/C did they try to sell you a heat pump? The PNW seems like it would be a good climate for a heat pump since it doesn't get that cold.

Same, the old house in Sydney didn't get AC till the last few years we were there, it wasn't designed for it, so we could only put reverse cycle units in the main rooms upstairs and downstairs, so the rest of the house was an oven. When we moved to the new house it came with ducted air, and most importantly, proper insulation. We also have a white roof that helps reflect heat, and solar panels. We now spend less cooling the whole house than we did just the 2 rooms in the old house. It's going to hit 37C here today, near enough to 100f, I'll set the AC to 25C/77f and we'll be perfectly comfortable.
