Which brand is forbidden to be spoken around you?

Dont get all the hate for armor all. It is a water based formula that actually works really well for tires and fender wells. That being said, I Dont use it.

Product lines I really don't care for? Car Brite. Extremely mediocre and poor quality stuff. Still amazingly has a huge hunk of the production/body shop market.

Have to disagree with you there.

I used armor all on my work car (I do delivery during winter time) on the tires... that thing slung all across the paint the first time I drove the car. I never get sling with Optimum tire dressing. And I really don't think armor all is water based... It's silicone based for sure.

As for the original question... nothing forbidden as such but it really annoys me when people ask me if I do Simonize ;)

Nope, I do not like Mustangs...I respect them but PERSONALLY don't like them. That's not anything bad about anyone else's choice in vehicles I just don't like em nor do I wanna talk about them. That's the point of the post right.

I feel the exact same way about Porshes (except for the Boxster) they are great cars but I don't like them. Totally understand why most people like them they are not for me.

I actually get the comments about Adam's. It seems like once someone buys something from them everything else becomes garbage in their mind.

Great marketing on Adam's part though, there isn't a brand that comes even close to them in fierce loyalty.

So they are the Apple of the detailing world? :)

:iagree: about the TV. I bought a LED recently and the Samsung was far and away the best picture out of all of them. And trust me, I looked at all of them.

I don't have any experience with their phones, but I've heard good things. I'm just too deep into the Apple ecosystem to try something new, unless the new iPhone is terrible and the Galaxy phones are far and away much better, I don't see myself changing anytime soon.

If for some reason you decide to switch to android, you want a HTC phone, not a Samsung one. HTC has the same high quality build and ease of use mentality as Apple. Samsung produces low quality pieces of junk that don't work well and tons of useless modifications to the Android OS that nobody needs/use.

Hate when I'm out of state and see "The Philly Cheesesteak" on a menu.

Most these states can't make a pizza for crap - now they're going to try for a cheesesteak?

Oy vey.

Not against any brand. More irritated sometimes by the fanboy sheeple that remind me of the Borg collective.

Fanboys of any type/shape/forn annoy me. Be objective and learn to evaluate things. Loyalty to a brand is ridiculous.

It's also really bad in the drum world too.

I posted some pics of my set with a different brand of cymbals, and my former rep was really bummed about it.

Once upon a time though, I did have working relationships with a few drum companies and was expect to remain loyal, and represent the product. Obviously, when one is compensated, the respect should be returned.

If someone had an exclusive deal with Flex, or Meguiar's, I get it. If not, we should be able to use whatever we want without it threatening our comfort zone.

Armor All, Turtle Wax, Nu-Finish, and most meguiars product sold at autozone (except gold class, it can be used as a pre-soak, gave it away and substituted with Chemical Guys Maxi suds).Im the MAN

Chemical Guys. I use them and like a handful of products but their marketing is a huge turn off to me. Because of that when I'm searching for something new I look at them last a lot of times.

Croftgate I will never purchase because of their marketing as well.

Oh and The General car insurance. Again because of their ridiculous advertisements

Just curious but what is a turn off about Chemical Guys marketing that you don't like?

Also, what don't you like about Croftgate's marketing strategy? Just curious and intriqued by the statements.

Both are very aggressive. I normally hate anyone who says "best in the world" IMO best is an extremely subjective term. Also a lot of CGs videos and website info is a lot of made up nonsense. I understand that a lot of advertisement and marketing is that way but something about The way CG presents themselves puts a bad taste in my mouth. Keep in mind this is all my opinion. I do have some CG products that I like I know they make great products but certain things bother me.

Wolfgang, Blackfire, Detailers Pro and Pinnacle--too much talk about these products on these boards and I'm sick of it!!

:p

Doesn't sound like you know that Autozone sells Griots products and you can buy 101/201 Meguiars there in pints and quarts. Puts the ding in "the MAN" part of your statement. Don't worry, they sell stuff to buff that out. :dblthumb2:

My personal car related one is Amsoil. I swear they index the internet looking for "What oil should I use" threads just so they can fanboy to the max.

Actually autozone doesn't sell Griots. Advanced Auto. Megs M101 is not found at either Auto zone or Advanced. M105 can be found. I've never heard of M201 I can only assume you mean M205.

Check you facts before you try to bust someone's balls.

Oh okay. Never really looked at it that way. Sounds like a company CC and Croftgate that believe in the quality of the products they sell. Sounds like a good thing to me.

Thousands of businesses around the globe operate and market like this. Nothing wrong with a company that believes in the very product they sell. Its a very interesting perspective you have sir. Thank you for clarifying.
