I may resort to using the rubber valve stems as this is an ongoing occurrence with the stems not sealing correctly. I've had these stems since the first set of 16'' wheels ordered from CariD which was a big mistake. Time to get rid of the past and move forward.
After this morning's post about how much PSi I put in the tires, I did some testing with a bottle of soapy water.. turns out the metal stems were loose. But the biggest issue turns out to be the red caps on the stems. These were over tightened which allowed some air to escape from the stems. Off with these cheap valve stem caps. Now need to locate something better.
This morning I filled the tires with 44-45 PSI but before driving away, I checked and the drivers side front tire read 42psi.. Not sure what's going on there.. I suspect that I'll have to have the new tires (n the basement) installed. The tires on the front of the van are the last 2 tires that been cut by the fender edges.
