Brake Haze on Chrome Clad Wheels

I briefly tried some clay and some IronX as well. Both seemed to have little/no impact on the haze. I will post some photos here shortly to help show you guys what I'm looking at. I'm just getting started on cleaning these bad boys. Amount of effort required is a moot point really....happy...

Brake Haze on Chrome Clad Wheels

Hey guys, I typically search and don't post often anymore, but need a little assistance in choosing the right product today. My girlfriends Ford Edge has the factory Chrome Clad wheels that have a slight brown haze from neglected brake dust. The brake dust itself is gone but the wheel covers...

2009 dark shadow grey Ford F150 with BL/V7 combo!

Looks good! I have a 2012 in the same color and have been playing with LSP's trying to find the one I like best on the metallic flake. So far BFWD is my favorite, I think.

Giveaway! Flex Changeable Backing Plate System

My favorite feature of my flex is the sweet dreams it gives me, the comfort it provides while I spoon it at night, and the satisfaction it gives me in public as people stare at us and think "yea, that guys cool!"

What's the latest 'trend' in ONR washing?

I keep it even simpler. Chenille wash mitt, one bucket, and a couple BIG towels to blot dry my truck. Never had an issue in the 7500 miles since new, and countless ONR washes. Some of them were even a little worse than I probably should have done, but it was for "research" purposes :props:

    Are these samples liquid souveran?

Well, this thread just reminded me I forgot to add my liquid souveran sample to my order yesterday. Oh, and those are both souveran. I've received 10+ samples of liquid souveran all looking like those to some degree or another. Varies quite a bit believe it or not, and all are fine once mixed...

    Clay residue

Do you have any paint cleaner you can use with a DA? Sounds to me like what you're seeing is marring, and hat should clean it up. What kind of clay were you using? Some of the more aggressive clays can/will mar the paint.

Flex vs Griot's dual action polisher

I should clarify that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the GG6" in my eyes. They all have their place in the market. I say "premium" towards the Flex, but in no way mean other products are Subpar. There are two Fords in my driveway. If I wanted I could have one Porsche for the same price...

Which Products do you wish you NEVER BOUGHT?

Megs APC+ Nothing wrong with it, but now that I have OPC I never use APC+. It's a little harsher on my skin than I'd like to see, and is questionable near paint which makes me nervous around my wheels and body. Never actually had an issue with it though. Also, Turtle Wax ICE Armor All...

Melt and re-pour Carnauba paste wax

Pretty sure BFWD is polycharged, but I could be mistaken? I'd like to see some updates on this as well...stumbled across it while searching for paste waxes lol.

    When to wetsand?

I'd like to know this as well. Never really understood the paint thickness thing and would like to know more. You read a value, but how do you know what is BC and what is CC?

Flex vs Griot's dual action polisher

I don't necessarily agree with this. The question is how much do you want to spend, and what do you consider "value" when it comes to buying tools? Are you looking for the bargain, or are you looking for an exceptional piece of equipment? I like to think that the majority of people on this...
