Mobile Van still in progress!

Its just a 12X12 ez-up, works pretty good for me man.
And Thanks Kris, Im anxious to see yours.

My truck is completely electric, battery bank with a 5000 watt inverter, don't have to worry about gas, noise and keeping that generator running the whole time I'm buffing out a car.

What's this?

Also I use like 10 per car and that's not counting bucket fill. I thoroughly spray loose dirt off and thoroughly rinse all soap off.

You're anxious!? I'm goin nuts over here, haha.

I have a lot of small things to finish. But, I scheduled myself wednesday and thursday off to strictly take care of all of them. I plan on trying to be out working mobile next week. I've got jobs lining up, and customers waiting for me to go to them. So, the time is now!

Yep, the more and more I thought about it, there's no way you can use a two bucket method and get away with using any less.

Hmm well im thinking, if you use a foam cannon to already cover the car in suds/soapy water...that sort of takes care of the one bucket method...then just get yourself a bucket of rinse water...get your mit/sponge wet...then do a panel...rinse it...and since the soap is already all over the car...that basically serves AS your second bucket...just as long as you keep your mit somewhat wet...it could help you eliminate the second bucket.

Yep, your exactly right. But I'll tell ya, I tried that method last year on a few cars and it worked well. However, just for SIG's, one day when I had two vehicles at the same location, I did one like this and on the other I added the second bucket and there were noticeable differences, not only on the vehicle but the dirt and debris caught by the grit gaurd was enough for to go back to my ole ways. That's just me man, and honestly I dont mind taking the extra step or using the extra h2o to satisfy myself.

Nice rig man! Should have photos of mine up by the end of this week. :dblthumb2:

ill show you mine if you show me yours! hahaha

I have a detail set up for thursday so I will drag my trailer out of the garage tomorrow to look it over. I honestly haven't even opened it for a few months since it is tucked into my garage but i need to get some pictures of it and of coarse get it ready to work on thursday. I am so bad with taking pictures!

I hear that man. I didn't start taking pictures till last year. It's tough, cause you get caught up in the work. There's been so many times where I finish a job....then realize that I should have taken before and afters, ha.

was really that big of a difference huh? Could have the one car just been a lot dirtier than the other :)? If a car was really in bad shape..i probably would do the same...but if its just a maint. wash of a car ive been keeping up...and doesn't get driven a lot or something like that..i think foaming it up and using a rinse bucket would be ok...but i understand what you're saying...i have little weird things i do too that i know i could get away with out it really being a BIG deal..but the thing is III know i could've done better...so i feel ya

Oh come on...taking pictures isnt that bad...its the loading/sorting/cropping/editing/downsizing/loading them onto AG's photo album/posting them in the thread that is a big pain in the ass!

Kris let me know how you like your generator and how it is working for you. I might have to get me one if it gets a good review by you

I will let you know man. I haven't used much at all yet. Only here and there to test it out. But it will be getting the real test soon enough!

Did you guys get as much of a headache when putting together your mobile unit as I have? This has probably been the hardest thing I've ever done, ha. What a pain!!!!!!!

Man it took me a week last time I rearranged my trailer. I got a new pressure washer and it was a commercial pressure washer so it was bigger. Then you have make sure the exhaust isnt pointing at things and on and on and on lol.

I may have a bit of adhd tho lol

I can't imagine this process ever going smoothly, ha. It's been such a pain. I had a REALLY tough time with the van itself for a while. Now the inside formed a group of all new problems. Seems like every little thing that was supposed to simple...became difficult.

I went back and forth to the hardware store probably 4 times today! Almost done though!

problem is I needed everything before i could lay it out and see how it would all fit. I didn't have everything so i took some left over foam insulation board that I used to insulate the trailer and cut the insulation to the dimensions (water tank, hose reel, extractor....etc) so i could keep going with the work if I didnt have the equipment purchased yet. My trailer was a pay as I went so I wanted to keep working even thought I had to wait to pay for something! It actually worked out well!

And I probably have 40 trips to home depot! they actually got to know me by name there.......sad to say

Better yet I have my trailer completed then I had the bright idea to paint it.........Take it ALL out and start over!! HAHA it never fits the same again...
