"Stanced" Exotics - Someone Please Kill Me

First off, a Civic is not a GTR. Not sure how that entered your argument for childish mods.

I think you may have missed my original point entirely.

I don't hate imports or tuners. I think it is amazing what can be done with the performance of these cars, given the limited displacement.

What I do dislike is a loud Coffee Can bolted onto an unwashed, peeling CC Civic. I put that vehicle in the same category as a Stanced Exotic. Waste of money, poor styling/noise choice and zero increase in performance.

no way can you put a stanced car into a peeling cc civic with a fart can, I have a stanced import and by no means is the clear coat peeling or unwashed

Most of these cars are sitting on airbags, so that when at park, they drop the frame on the ground, that is not to say that they do not have the camber issue when they raise them up, but this mostly a look at rest.

HUMP

not all of them are sitting on airbags, yes that is the way the market is going but still the majority of them are on coilovers and well what are the majority of the track/race cars on? coilovers

I myself have "stanced" my car, it's not aggressive and it's not perfect but it still has stance, I put performance coilovers on my car to be able to stance it and keep the performance, I can turn on a dime and still take on and off ramps at 60 mph its fun as anything to sling shot myself in and out of those on ramps, there's no doubt that my car's handling has improved with the modifications and giving my car stance

there's alot of hate up in here with the imports and stanced cars, so who gave you the right to knock down someone's work and pride and joy just because it's not your cup of tea I'm not a huge fan of the your daily driver Hyundai's or Ford's or Kia's or whatever but I appreciate the work that has gone into polishing your paint to perfection

Stance will make her dance, so why not have a stanced car?

I have lowered my car significantly but not to the point where I have ridicules camber just to fit the wheels in, I think all of them look good except for the second picture but I can admire the work that was put into it to get ridicules low

I think, we have all been referencing the photos from the OP, which are probably the ugliest example of the style.

I can appreciate "Tucking" the wheels up into the wells, like Joe Rogan's Sick Fish.

It is the ridiculous camber that I find so unappealing.

#preach

It's everywhere. I deal with this sh!t on a daily basis. There's always going to be someone who doesn't like your cup of tea whether you have a rationale behind it or not.

Since when is offering your Opinion considered "Hate".

"Hate" is a giant leap from the Opinions offered so far in this thread, which is by the way, titled: "Stanced" Exotics - Someone Please Kill Me

No one here is saying that people can't do whatever they want to their cars. Just saying it is not what we like or what we would do to our cars.

I was being funny with the "Haters goin' Hate", its a popular sticker on the back window of sport compact cars, that's all.

It started with "fart can" and "beating 95% of imports" crap. I like all kinds of cars and hate when the wheels are at a 45 degree angle, especially on a car like Monica spoke about, an R32 Golf for instance. This is built to handle, steer, brake AND accelerate but doing "the stance" look to ruins a great car, I think we all agree here but the import bashers come out and then that's when things start to go south, pardon the pun.

I have never heard, nor used the term "fart can".

My truck is faster than 95% of the "modified imports out there"
Reason being is that 95% of the mods on these cars are:

-Stickers
-Peeling purple window tint
-Fake stick on brake vents
-Loud clamp in exhausts
Most of which probably decrease performance b/c it throws off the ECM

The Kids I see hanging around the Mall who wear the "Haters gonna Hate" T-shirts look like they have never kissed a girl. Why would anyone be jealous of them?

Did I get ya?

Only one of us is being serious here.

Those look terrible. However, I am a fan of these but they aren't quite as "stanced"
aru4e2es.jpg

that is undrivable above 30 mph in turns without rubbing. thats a sin..

i couldnt agree more. get a station wagon if you want to put it on air. they look best dropped anyway.

dont get a hyper or super car .. hell or any car that does under a 12 sec 1/4 mile and drop it to the ground so it cant go around turns over 30 without rubbing.

Well Steve, you have just ruined my day: unfortunately, I don't have the capability of unseeing things - it would be rather handy right now...
:iagree::iagree::iagree::nomore::nomore::nomore:

Ok, ok, vents on a car aren't rice, they're tacky! Here's something I've never seen on a import and its the faux caliper covers that give people the illusion you've got a BBK on the car. I've seen em on Stangs TBSS's, Camaros and wait for it.......

C6 Corvette 2 weekends ago at the dragstrip, painted body color too, complete w/ fake rivets, are you kidding me with that! So there you go, Murica one ups the fart can with faux BBK's!

And talking about overkill.....

Anyone see Rutledge Wood driving the Bisimoto Odyssey on Top Gear?
Seen if before online, just not on a TV show.
Man does that puppy sound good!

Throw AWD in that puppy and I want one! :D
(About the only way you'll ever get it to launch.) ;)

very incorrect, 100% of my mods are exhaust, tune, suspension, and well the reason were all here paint

yes I have stickers on my car, but not to the point where it isn't classy

95% of the guys I hang out with have none of the mods you have listed except maybe a few stickers

I did! And it did sound awesome! :dblthumb2:
I still don't want a minivan, but that was pretty bada$$.

A Yukon is going to beat 0% of GT-R's out there, so the 95% is a "tad" off...."what exactly is a tad?...in space terms its about a hundred million miles", LOL!

Ok, what movie is that line from?

Different strokes for different folks.

Personally if I ever own an Audi R8 (dream, twin turbo`d) or a Lambo, it would get aftermarket wheels and be lowered.... a.k.a. stanced.

Aftermarket wheels are always a great idea, lowered is ok too but you wouldn't have a TT R8 and lower it so much that wheels are tilted out.....would you:awman:

Remember when I posted earlier about the guy needing to put air in the tires every 25 miles, this is it! Makes absolutely NO sense other than getting attention! You could drill out your hood and install chrome diesel truck stacks and get attention too, equally dumb!
