That color is so unique, I see orange/gold in it

Not sure all about it. Pretty sure it’s got red tint in the clear and I’ve heard there’s some gold metallic in the base.

How was your experience using Ghost

Pretty good. It was a little shinier than I expected but it may cure down a bit? Either way, I like it. Glad I used a brush. Getting it into those sidewalls definitely took some brush work. If it lasts closer to that be months, I’ll probably keep using it.

How many coats

About 1/3 I think. Did all five.

ETA: and if it doesn’t effect longevity, I’m ok with the look.

Went and looked and I used less than a quarter of the bottle (it’s still above the label). I also went back and watched the ADS video; I put on about the same amount.

Now you'll be able to sit back and enjoy the benefits of Ghost

After a RW where I pre-treated the tires and wheels AND touching them clean w/ designated grout sponge. This is after drying them with a mf and air drying

So far, I've only used Ghost on daily drivers with larger sidewalls. However, I wanted to see how it looks and performs on low profile sidewalls.

These Dunlop's tend to exaggerate the gloss of any tire dressing, so I need to be careful with what I use, how much I use and ideally knock back with a towel after 10 - 15 minutes. I've also found they hold onto previously applied dressings, even with an appropriate chemical and brush. On the flipside, they are super easy to get an even, consistent finish.

To reset the sidewalls, I scrubbed using Carpro ReTyre, which I've found to be one of the stronger tire cleaners on the market. Despite that, they were still pretty loaded with product, time for the TARMINATOR!! I know people get worried about the off-label use of this product, but it's not like you are doing this frequently, it's for the occasional reset. If you read the ADS application guide for Ghost, they too recommend using a tar remover prior to application. You can also do this with mineral spirits/mineral turpentine, which I've found works just as well, if not as convenient as the aerosol Tarminator bottle.

I don't recommend spraying Tarminator or mineral spirits directly onto the tire, especially if you have matte finish wheels as it can stain if not wiped off. Spray either into a towel, then rub the sidewall. You will find as the product flashes away, it leaves behind a completely matte, bare rubber finish. You will also destroy your towel doing this, and it kinda needs to be a towel or rag, shop towels will tend to shred and leave behind fibers.

The other benefit of using a solvent such as Tarminator or mineral spirits is that it helps flash away any lingering water from the wash. This is important as you need a completely dry sidewall prior to the application of Ghost to ensure it bonds properly and reaches the longevity potential.

Bare, clean sidewalls ready for dressing.

From here, I went ahead and applied Ghost using a foam applicator. In this case, I only applied a single layer as I felt a second coat wasn't required, it finished out so nicely and I didn't want to boost the gloss potential. No follow up knock down required.

I'm very pleased with the finished result, much more subtle than other dressings I've used on these tires.

A little over 2 monthes old now! This pic was after swiping them with a designated grout sponge with RW sopping in it

Just about 2 monthes, 2 weeks in at this point. After the touch-free wash I got it home and swiped the tires & wheels w/ random quick detailer and allowed to dry. I'm wondering how they'll look after a true tire cleaner & scrub

I know this, only on someone else's vehicle could I do a test like this, I could never not "top up" my own tires

I swear it's not the same pic and I'm so sorry I didn't take a BEFORE pic but yesterday we got a sloppy 2" snow, they salted as well and it was VERY messy because it warmed up and the cars were messy, damn i sorry I didn't get that BEFORE pic

This ADS Ghost can't be denied at this point! This was after a pre-treat of 3.5 oz of Bilt-Hamber Touchless and 28 oz of water in my 1000ml Mirolex sprayer, whole car before going into the touch-free wash this evening...didn't touch or swipe it afterwards either
