I had the same issue on my car with almost the same color. I would stay away from using anything that is aggressive at this point. I used the carpro spot remover after trying about 3 different OTC products and none worked. The carpro worked like a champ and very easy. Just spray on and use a...
I'm still learning all this stuff and only completed several cars but IMO this is not a good plan.
SF4500 is more like a jeweling process and is used for final polish for extreme gloss and then you talk about if that doesn't work you will go to FG-400. The difference between SF4500 and FG-400...
And yes, no more links to FB or business pages allowed.
Is this officially from autogeek People here use the products they sell and show of the results and hope this brings them more business but now you can't have links to FB or business web pages. Makes no sense at all.....hope this is just a...
One thing I would check is take the backing plate off and see if it looks like the rivets on the back of BP are rubbing on the 7424. For someone new to using a 7424 I doubt you are pressing to hard as you are trying to be careful. I'm thinking you might be missing a washer between the BP and...
It seems like you did things like others here and they had good results. I'm thinking more along the lines of......the MF that you used could have had something on it that opti-lens didn't like. I'm just trying to think outside the box. Maybe you thought the MF was clean but you had some sort of...
Do you have the washer between the BP and spindle installed. The washer keeps the bp from binding into the spindle and if you forget to put it on the PC can over heat. Take your BP off and look at it were it has little screws or rivets...are they rubbing on the PC causing it to overheat.
I would be careful doing this if your just using a round 7mm washer. I tried the same thing and when buffing a car I noticed small metal shavings on the hood. Took the backing plate off and found that the metal washer was spinning and little pieces was coming off and the bolt was tight. I ending...
It's a 2009 Maxima It has opti coat on it now. I got the car used with 23k miles a few months ago and did about a 90% correction before applying opti coat. It had some rids and scratches that I didn't take out as I didn't have the CTG at the time and had no idea how thick the paint...
Yes I check about 20 spots on the hood all in the 65-70 micron range. Could it be(I'm not even sure if it is) but could it be the hood is made of some different material and giving me wacky readings.
I got me a cheep CTG compared to some out there off ebay for $125. The one I got is Nicetu model cm8801FN if anybody wants to look it up. It came with 4 shims 50, 100, 280, and 450 microns. The first thing I did was see how accurate it was on the shims that it came with and it was way off. So I...
I only wash my car..... but I use optimum power clean 5:1 or 10:1 take it to a car wash spry opc insert $1.50 in machine and use High pressure water to clean it and dry it off with ONR. Works great and I never have to touch the car until I dry it.
I've never done a boat or car for money yet but the OP said he spent 75 hours. At $250 bucks that's less than $4 an hour. I'd say $1000-$1500 would be more like it with that many hours. Maybe more
They turned out great. My car has opti-coat on it and I've tried to use OPC on the bugs on the front.....like a presoak before hitting it with HP water and it works great. I'm just wondering if DR G said to use it 1:1 or at a certain dilution.
