    TLC needed - '03 50th AE Convertible, 66K miles

Many prefer a slicker feeling finish with a QD. I occasionally add a light spritz of DGAW or M34 with ONR QD. ONR QD works just as nicely on wheel wells and black rubber trim and seals. I've got a few dedicated old cotton bath towels dedicated to wheel, tire & well duty. TL

Reviewed: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

Citrus Wash & Clear is also an excellent stripper (brass pole not included) :D I tend to alternate between CW&C and CW&G. Gloss feels a bit more lubrous and leaves a bit more shine, Clear just seems to leave a cleaner feel when drying. Both are excellent soaps and cost effective, especially...

How to clean Mildew on canvas?

Meguiar's APC and APC+ always worked OK for me. Even Purple Power diluted approriately has done what I needed it to. Optimum Power Clean is the best I've ever used...very versatile at various dilutions and even used full strength when needed I have yet to find anything it didn't work well on...

    This makes me happy

Armor All Tire Foam is also a useful product. I think it's crap on tires but it works well on wheel wells. And nothing I've tried works as well on underhood pads. It has decent cleaning abilities, darkens and has good longevity for that application. Many have opinions that some OTC product...

Autogeek's Expose Detail Fest 2012 Contest!

Bill's vid puts my idea to shame...I was thinking you ought to have PorschePilot Ed tow some banners. If a banner didn't work out you could just tie Nick to the tail of the plane wearing an Autogeek shirt. :D TL

Murray found his camera! :applause: Looks good! Crank up the heater and go for a ride. Everybody has their favorite. Personally, I prefer a clean, dark matte finish. Since I have raised-white-outline tires I find Stoner's More Shine aerosol easiest to use, I just give it a wipe to get rid...

Murphy's Law as it relates to Detailing

:iagree: If I was asked to describe DGAW "bright" is precisely the word I would use, especially on whites and light colors. TL

    What a day!

If you had a customer that was angling for a deal, that was looking for something for nothing and picking apart your work, the kind that are never satisfied, then I'd say tell him to go s**t in his hat. However, you appear to have a customer that likes your work and essentially is already a...

    White paint plan of attack.

You're on the right track.... although 845 is named Insulator Wax and contains carnauba it's actually a hybrid. It gives an incredible gloss and sealant-like wet shine on white. TL

    White paint plan of attack.

:xyxthumbs: I've gone straight to LSP after D300 with every white/light vehicle I've used the DA MF System on. A few light passes at slow speed after correcting results in a nice finish on light colors. D301 is a cleaner/wax. I'd only use it if it was going to be the LSP. IMO, nothing else...
