ADS Ghost tire coating...real world durability and looks!

I hear ya. These days I'm pretty much happy with a dressing/coating keeps the tires from turning brown before the next time I do something with them. The coatings I've used are the old TW black stuff and the OPT (actually I use the OPT Gelcoat Restorer, which is the same as the tire coating as far as I'm concerned). Two coats of either of them would be super glossy, which is why I was intrigued that the Ghost wasn't...of course that's the reason I bought Ghost, but I haven't used it yet.
Might partly be the little round Amazon applicator brush I used for the first time. It seemed to eat a lot of the product. Spent 5 minutes rinsing it out.

Ghost can be a little glossy at first but it self levels, after a wash or two for sure. I'm sure you've seen pics of my g/f's TAOS tire, I call that sheen but everyone's different

I'd try a foam applicator next time 100%

So this is 9 days later, different brightness outside as well as angle, this will be the angle I shoot them from during THIS process

What you see here is simply P&S Absolute RW, pre-treated early on and lastly, using a designated grout sponge for cleaning tires & wheels while doing a RW, a simple dunking, swiping and drying, that's it

So the top pic was 9 days after re-application, here's 16 days later from yesterday's touch/scrub cleaning🤌

So in total, 25 days, hundreds of miles, rain and numerous touch-free washes and it's first touch & scrub cleaning, used Brake Buster @4:1 and Mother's Tire and Wheel brush (longer brissels),also hit it with a pre-wash consisting of Griot's Garage red carwash soap and Bilt-Hamber Touchless, brown was coming off the tires but what you see here is after the complete wash and dry

Today's wash, Labocosmetica Purifica pre-wash (just dwelled) & Griot's Garage Wheel Cleaner sprayed on the tires and wheels and scrubbed w/ Mother's Tire and Wheel Brush, rinsed & dried

**QUICK UPDATE**

My g/f had her first service on the TAOS yesterday, oil change and tire rotation, so now the tire I always use as my test pic is up front now

I'm not sure how this will affect looks as it's on the front now but just being transparent

Today's wash was Griot's Garage Foaming tire cleaner, just sat and dwelled and then foamed with CarPro Descale, dwelled and rinsed and only wiped dry

So as you can see, I did a deep clean on my Michelins here and applied 2x's ADS Ghost. Now I'll admit, it's going to be hard not to "top them up" after a while as they're Michelins...if you know, you know but we'll see how it does going forward, I've entered the test officially here

So my g/f just got back from a 12 round trip roadie in the TAOS. I ran it through the touch-free wash yesterday but a good wash was needed today

I did scrub the sidewalls with the short brissel brush and dried them, followed up with FrankenDetailer on the tires and wheels to even things out, that's it

ADS Ghost is all over it

We've got a new test subject and this car isn't washed, so let the torture test begin, 2 days before I re-applied it my own car

Washed and scrubbed yesterday with leftover 2BM wash soap and this morning touch-free wash, ADS Ghost FTW

I just noticed the shoulders...there's NO coating to defend against that type of abuse

After the touch-free wash and Adam's WW wipedown of the tires and wheels

My g/f starts a new job today, instead of 45-48 minutes one way to work, majority freeway, she'll now be doing 100% city driving, EIGHT MINUTES, one way

So now the endurance test is going to be different, stay "tuned"

Just caught up on this entire thread. Appreciate all the work and updates to keep us posted on this. Very informative. Thank you!

(and now you've got me ready to get some to try out. Bradley is about 20 minutes away from me. Solid guy (known him for some years now) company, work and products)

I'll answer any questions guys

Why is it better than Endura? Asking for someone who’s asking…

So the other day I told someone online that Endura was the best tire product I’ve ever used. He said he was currently testing this one you’re using in this thread. I said I knew someone who had used both Endura and this Ghost and he asked if I knew which one was better and I said I’d ask my friend who has experience with both and that’s why I asked.

Well the easy answer is no staining and easy to dispense, although Ghost clogs the sprayer so what I do sometimes is put the sprayer close to the applicator to minimize it going in every direction.

As far as the product itself, well, my testing back then wasn't as thorough as now, so sadly I'm letting you guys down there but I'll double down on the staining and as you know Ric the Ghost isn't staining those beautiful Vouges

The staining sucked, I’ll agree with that..

As far as the Ghost clogging the sprayer, so it’s a liquid and the sprayer is like the one that comes with Gyeon Cancoat? If so, why haven’t you simpiy replaced that sprayer with a flip top bottle so you can dispense it onto an applicator and have it be much easier?

So that means the Ghost is clear.

What about longevity? Because Endura was beast when it came to longevity, and it could be topped easily, so easily that even the Endura Trim Coating could be used to top the Tire Coating and it would work the same way as long as the base layer was the Tire Coating.

Ease of cleaning? Endura you just have to rinse with plain water. And that’s if the tires ever even got dirty because they never really did.

Gloss factor? Endura provided good shine without looking cheesy, and weeks & months later you could still tell something was on the tires and eventually they would maintain a black clean tire.

Does Ghost do that? Can you tell somethings on the tire throughout its entire cycle? Or does it fade away to the point where there’s nothing there?
