I've owned 2-3 sets of Firestone tires and my experience is that they are the worst brand of tire (I've personally owned) for holding water-based dressings. Don't be frustrated, some tires just don't hold dressings the same. Best thing you can do is make sure tires are as clean as possible...

The first item is the Multi-Surface Cleaner I assume? If so, never used it. The 2nd doesn't exist (unless something was released recently). DP Interior Cleaner works great though and I highly recommend.

^^^best stuff I've used--called "Xtreme Blue" -20F (by Camco) at Advance Auto Parts. It cleans very well too. I've found the Rain-X stuff acts weird/smears if you have a protectant on the windshield.

I've used: CG HoneyDew DG901 Optimum Car Wash Meguiats DUB Car shampoo D114 Poorboys Spray & Wipe ...and even Mothers Waterless Wash & Wax with no ill effect.

I'd take it back...

Even though I don't do detailing professionally, I'd recommend a mask/glasses for certain interiors if heavily soiled/using extractor chemicals that might be harsh on the lungs and especially MOLD. People's interiors can be pretty nasty. Like the other ppl have noted in this thread: you want...

I do if deep-cleaning wheels or tires with anything unpleasant to the lungs (LA Totally Awesome, Zep 505, etc).

What they said--I don't feel comfortable using APC as my normal cleaner. I'm currently using Leather Masters on my car & Mothers Leather Cleaner/Conditioner on the wife's.
